Country Tweeds

As a keen shooting and horse riding man, Roubi L’Roubi understands the practicalities and performance requirements of functional clothing - his engineering background enables him to understand the technicalities of designing such pieces.

His country collection was commissioned by James Horne, founder of Guns on Pegs and Executive Chairman of James Purdey and Sons Limited. This first collaboration between Roubi and GOP resulted in a range of clothing with details and design features to facilitate shooting such as box pleats in jacket backs for movement, no breast pockets on jacket fronts to interfere with gun placement and collarless necklines that will not catch on a gun. Leather linings to cuffs and leather piping along necklines as well as waterproof tweeds are further features.

The collection comprises jackets, breeks, trousers, coats and shooting vests created in bespoke tweeds from Johnstons of Elgin and Loro Piana cashmere.
